The certification Best for Environment, from impact assessment B, analyzes the environmental performance of a company through its facilities, materials, emissions and use of resources and energy. Companies answer questions on their distribution and transportation, as well as the environmental impact of their supply chain. This qualification also measures whether a company’s products or services are designed to address an environmental issue, including products that help providing renewable energy, resource conservation, waste reduction, soil and wildlife conservation, and whether substances or harmful contamination is predicted, in addition to educating its customers to solve environmental issues.

The Instituto para o Desenvolvimento de Energias Alternativas para a América Latina (IDEAL) and the Câmara de Comercialização de Energia Elétrica (CCEE) launched the Solar Label with the support of the German Cooperation for Sustainable Development through Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the German Bank for Development (KfW). The objective is to recognize companies that invest in the future of energy in Brazil.
